Dear Jack.-
There doesn't seem to be much news but - I'll write this so you'll know we haven't forgotten you.
Dave O'Hara married Dottie Adamson from Cheswick last night.  I think she was in Don's year at school.  I guess you & Don will be bachelors-eh?  At any rate the important thing will be to finish your education-if this damn war ever ends!  The papers aren't bellering a near peace now--some estimates are 2 yrs!  I can't see why we have to fight for England's, France, & Hollands land.  Let them fight for their own rich land.
Jimmie Haslinger is home & windy as every--He has 2 or 3 stars on his ribbon & what everyone wants to know is do Naval flyers get stars?  Do you know?  He was patrolling out of Brazil & there certainly weren't any major battles fought there.  Well-there is one in every war.
Bobs school is over today & as per usual I guess he is passing by the skin of his teeth.  He doesn't know whether to start work tomorrow or work until Mon.  He wants to go to Football camp this year.  At present he is coaxing Chick for the car for a date on Fri. eve.  Well-honey keep well-and watch the Japs.  I hope you'll never run into any
                                Love--Omie.
