April 9 1944 From Omie
April 9
Dear Jack--
Hope you got your money OK--Chick was busy painting the kitchen on Sunday so he didn't get into town.
Finny has decided to come home on Thursday. I hope the Dr. knows what he is doing letting him come home. And I sure hope he improves, or we will all be nuts.
If you get a chance to call Grandma before you got out--you better call. And don't fail to write often as you know we will worry. How will your mail get to you the fastest?---airmal?
I had a letter from don on Sat.--everything seems the same--but I think he is getting tired. He will probably be more tired when the monsoons hit.
Bob worked on sat up at Glasses plant-but he says eh doesn't think he wants to work up there all summer as it is too dusty. Chick says that isn't a very healthy atmosphere & wants him to go out to the Field Club again. He is supposed to be cutting the lawn now--but I think he ducked & is playing ball--
We haven't anything planted in the garden yet--but it is warming up again so I guess we will get started.
Keep yourself well-while you are away-honey & be patient as you know nothing lasts forever & Pray God this will soon be over.
Love-Omie
Wheres my souvenir?
