Dear Jack:
I received your letter and of course I was afraid you would be sent to the Pacific. I sent you a letter that came here from an OUS. I think maybe his name was Kennedy but are not sure. I hope you get it as I sent it to N.Y. Am sending you two books and will send more also going in town to get you the socks. I toud you in the other letter. Finny is working so I will bank your money for you. We are having warmer weather the last 2 days but the paper has rain today. The Ianstone twins each have 92 piruts but I don't think that would leave them out of the army. I am suppose to go up to the farm this week end with Dick and Irene. Lester Watson who lives in back in the house with Cotter's is to leave the 31st of this month. Well Jack be good and we will all be praying that it ends soon and you will soon be home. Write as often as you can.
Love,
Grandma.
